Marine Geophysics

Geophysical Methods have capability to meet the requirement of Marine Engineers with specific applications for Ports, Harbors, Jettys, Creeks etc for the purpose of mapping the sea bed, sedimentation, sea bed soil stratification, buried objects such as old ships etc.

Hydrographic Surveys using advanced technology are deployed by ORIZON for Marine Surveys by deploying the Multi Frequency DGPS and Dual Frequency Digital Echo-Sounders with heave compensation and tide gauge calibration softwares. ORIZON also has in house Automatic Tide gauges and experts having extensive experience for continuous tidal observation for marine projects. Geophysical methods like sub-bottom profiling and side scan sonars are deployed by ORIZON for sea bed sub-soil stratification and mapping the buried objects under sea bed.

ORIOZN uses some of the following methods for Marine applications:

  • Ground Penetrating Radar
  • Sub Bottom Profiling
  • Side Scan Sonar
  • Hydrographic Survey
  • Multi Frequencey DGPS Monitoring
  • Automatic Tide Gauges
